We’re your hosts, Jon & Teresa Hector.

Welcome to Devonia Escapes, Our Luxury Cabins retreat near Bideford and Westward Ho! We offer a unique, year-round getaway where you can relax and immerse yourself in the beauty of North Devon.

In 2014, we moved back to Teresa’s family farm near Bideford and transformed an agricultural building into our dream home. Inspired by the stunning landscape and our love for this special place, we decided to create Devonia Escapes—combining our skills, experience, and passion for sharing North Devon’s charm.

We personally run Devonia Escapes while continuing part-time work in IT and admin. Whether you’d like a warm welcome upon arrival or prefer us to be just a message away for recommendations, we’re here to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Our 70-acre family farm is lovingly managed by Teresa’s parents and brother and is home to heritage free-range chickens. Jon helps with egg collection most mornings, and as our guest, you’ll have the chance to enjoy the freshest eggs straight from the farm.

With its free-ranging hens, beautiful meadows, woodlands, and streams, the farm offers a peaceful country setting—just 15 minutes from the coast.

"WOW what a location. If you are looking for tranquility with luxury accommodation look no further. A type of shepherds hut but much bigger than the smaller ones you normally find. Everything like new and really comfy bed. Welcome pack also lovely. Outdoor bath with hot and cold taps was amazing. Looking up at the stars with the fire pit was just perfect. hot tubs are so last year!! Very private and quiet. Thanks very much we'll be back"
