It was evident from the moment we arrived that everything had been well thought out down to the smallest details. The Welcome Pack was absolutely stunning. Teresa couldn't be more helpful and went above and beyond. Highlights were The Bath... So great to sit out and watch the Stars. The WiFi... We had no issues streaming everything we wanted to watch. The Fire Pit... Making Smores for the first time was great fun! If you are looking for a secluded location that isn't miles away from civilization then this is the place for you!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.simon green9 September 2024Wow what a location. If you are looking for tranquility with luxury accommodation look no further. A type of shepherds hut but much bigger than the smaller ones you normally find. Everything like new and really comfy bed. Welcome pack also lovely. Outdoor bath with hot and cold taps was amazing. Looking up at the stars with the fire pit was just perfect. hot tubs are so last year!! Very private and quiet. Thanks very much we'll be backTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Sarah Wilson2 September 2024We have just returned after staying 3 nights in Kingfisher Cabin. Wow, what can I say, such a gorgeous retreat to completely switch off and enjoy the nature. Stayed with hubby and 2 pups, and the security of the decking area meant we could relax, knowing our pups could not escape. Accommodation superb, stylish, clean and very homely, everything you need, is there! even the little things you forget, they had, which made our time even more special as we had no car to nip out for supplies! Jon and Teresa are the most spectacular hosts who went above and beyond when our car broke down, we cannot thank them enough for going out of their way to make our anniversary stay perfect! Thank you xTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Jemma Giles28 July 2024What a lovely place to stay! Teresa and Jon of Devonia Escapes have thought of everything when they created our cabin Fern. We felt very welcomed, the cabin is so relaxing and spacious. The terrace was a lovely spot to read, chat and stargaze. Try the bath, it's amazing! A great out of the way place to retreat to after exploring the beautiful area, but not far from pubs with great food. See if you can find the stunning Octopus in Appledore and definitely get a crab salad or sandwich and coffee at The Coffee Cabin, as recommended by Teresa. The weekend was not long enough, we will be back again and for longer.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Andrew Taylor-Jones21 July 2024My husband and I have just enjoyed a very comfortable and relaxing stay at Devonia Escapes. The cabin is very well appointed and really quite luxurious compared to others we have stayed in, especially since it is dog friendly. We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary. When we arrived there was a bottle of bubbles and some strawberries waiting for us along with a card and happy anniversary banner. All of that for a very modest charge, it was well worth it. I was surprised to see welcome hamper with their own farmed eggs which were beautiful and milk, fudge, crisps and the most delicious apple juice. It was all so lovely. The cabin itself is nestled in a lovely quiet part of their farm. You can hear a nearby stream and the birds singing in the trees. We were initially reluctant to book because we ideally wanted a traditional hot tub. However, after using the bath on the very generously sized decking the cabin has, we will not be after a hot tub again. The bath was so relaxing. It was beautiful to lay in there with just the sound of the stream and birds to hear. it was so relaxing and atmospheric with the fire pit/BBQ fired up. The hosts even supplied charcoal and wood. We didn't need to use the wood burner inside the cabin because it was warm but it'll be great for colder times. There is plenty of interesting things to do close by in any weather. we particularly enjoyed visiting Peppercombe beach which is a great walk through the bush onto a rugged coastline. Then there's Clovelly which is a total delight. With Westward Ho! close by, you won't be short of beautiful beaches and activities for all the family. I would recommend staying with Devonia Escapes in a heart beat. The hosts were attentive but not over bearing, a lovely couple and we can't wait to stay there again.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Gary Nurton15 July 2024Had a lovely stay here was a fantastic shepherd's hut so well equipped and in such a beautiful landscape having an outside bath tub to relax in with the fire going was perfect will definitely be coming back againTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Julie SW5 July 2024If I could give more stars I would. What a truly gorgeous bolt hole! We booked to stay for a couple of nights, last minute, on a friends recommendation and had a really lovely break. Teresa and John couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and welcoming (along with Buddy) and the hut was perfect. Cosy but not small, well equipped but not cluttered and homely but not twee. If you want somewhere to explore from, you won't regret booking here. Will definitely be returning.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Marie Douglas29 June 2024We had a wonderful stay, lovely luxurious accommodation, set in beautiful scenery. The outside bath is a must! There is a funky bbq to use, sitting on the decking... in the sun.... with a beer.... what more does one need. Oh, and the log burner.... for those chilly nights to make you feel so warm and cosy in a special place. We had to try it! Thank you.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Sarah Riley24 May 2024Teresa and Jon have created a beautiful escape in the heart of North Devon within a stone's throw of so many fantastic beaches and places to visit. The cabins are spacious and the ensuite has a bigger shower than my house! I really enjoyed sitting on the deck, listening to the stream and watching the Woodpecker fly by. I'm told there are Kingfishers too, but I think you need to be an early riser to see those. It really is lovely at Devonia Escapes.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Grace Heard22 May 2024Our stay was brilliant, very clean and welcoming cabins in a beautiful setting. A lovely welcome box provided on arrival, overall a perfect stay.
