Hello, we’re your hosts Jon & Teresa Hector and our dog Buddy.
We run Devonia Escapes, located near Bideford and Westward Ho! Our Luxury Glamping cabins offer a year-round experience.
We moved back to Teresa’s family farm near Bideford in North Devon in 2014 and converted an agricultural building into our amazing home.
We wanted to use the assets we had available here – the land, our skills and experience with our wish to showcase North Devon, the place we are lucky enough to call home.
We run Devonia Escapes ourselves and continue to work part-time in IT and admin so hope you will come and stay. We’re happy to meet and greet you or we’ll just be a friendly face, voice or message, if you need any help or recommendations.
Our small 70-acre farm is run by Teresa’s parents and brother and produces heritage free-range eggs. Jon helps on the farm most mornings picking up eggs. Guests have the opportunity to try the freshest eggs.
The farm itself with the free-ranging chickens, diverse habitats including meadows, woodland and streams and the family setup provides us with an excellent and friendly country setting and the farm is just a short 15-minute drive from the coast.
Jon designed and hand-crafted the 2 cabins sited in a meadow overlooking a stream and woodland to offer a unique year round escape, working in harmony with our surroundings, nestled within the countryside with cosy home comforts.
So, we are in an ideal location for an idyllic escape and we work hard every day to achieve our dream so that guests ‘Find Their Freedom at Devonia Escapes.’
